Toronto, Canada – Primus Telecommunications Canada has a message for anyone who’s recently been laid off, outsourced, downsized or fired: tell us your story for a chance to win a full year of free unlimited high speed internet, home phone and long distance service within Canada and the U.S. – and stay connected when you need it most. Canada’s largest alternative communications carrier will select 25 winners to receive Primus’ Triple Value Bundle package, valued at more than $800 annually. In addition, every contest entrant will be eligible to receive one month of free long distance service within Canada through Primus. “The ability to stay connected through phone and email is critical to anyone who has lost a job,” said Rob Warden, VP Residential Marketing, Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. “Primus recognizes this unfortunate reality and, as a company, we want to play a role in helping people recently out of work to rebound by providing them the important services they need to get back on their feet free of charge in this challenging time.” From May 4 to June 15, 2009, recently unemployed individuals in Canada can log on to www.primus.ca/lostyourjob to share their layoff experiences and enter the contest. Submissions may not exceed 300 words and may not include the name of the entrant’s former employer. Submissions will be judged on the uniqueness of the experience, the impact the job loss had on the person’s life and the quality of the essay. Winners will be notified by July 7, 2009.
