Toronto, Canada – Primus Telecommunications Canada, the country’s largest alternative communications carrier, announced it is offering consumers the opportunity to earn Aeroplan Miles with the purchase of two of its most popular prepaid long distance cards, “Premier Plus” and “Freedom,” further enhancing Primus’ consumer-focused and leadership position in the Canadian prepaid long distance marketplace. “Primus is always looking for new ways to offer consumers added benefits and increased value,” said Rob Warden, Vice President Residential Marketing and Sales for Primus Canada. “This new initiative with Aeroplan is a direct reflection of that objective as it gives consumers another way to stay connected with friends and family, save money, and earn Aeroplan Miles at the same time.” “We’re pleased to add Primus prepaid long distance cards to our program as another way for Aeroplan Members to earn miles,” said Craig Landry, Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Rewards, Aeroplan. Consumers can earn 10 Aeroplan Miles for every $5 Premier Plus and Freedom card and 25 miles for every $10 Premier Plus and Freedom card. Miles can be deposited into the Aeroplan Member’s account online at www.phonecardmiles.ca. Premier Plus and Freedom Aeroplan cards, which offer competitive rates in the prepaid long distance marketplace, are available nationally in major retailers and local convenience stores.
